The Big River GEAR Story
As a family-owned business founded in 2019
My introduction to the fishing industry started as a young, sponsored angler working for Bite Me Lures.
Then one day the offer to buy Bite Me Lures presented itself. Sacrifices were made and the car and boat got sold enabling the purchase of the lure company while kicking off our journey.
With the preservation of marine life at the forefront, we wanted to create tools that care for the fish and promote catch and release for
generations to come. After the frustration of losing many large fish to gear quite simply not up to the task, we decided enough is enough and Big River Gear™ was born. 6 years of product development and we proudly bring to you Australia’s greatest net for Australia’s toughest fish.
